Recurring night
Ritsuko Sakata Bike DJ
Observed since JUN 04
What's it like?
Bike DJ 2 Days 2 is the second night of Ritsuko Sakata's unusual set built entirely from motorcycle running sounds and engine noise. The concept is already striking, but Sakata's wider background in Taiwanese groove and Brazilian music gives the project a deeper artistic frame than novelty alone. The event's own description points to the thrill of hearing fast-moving sound inside a still room, making sensory dislocation part of the appeal. As a second-night installment, it also invites comparison and repeat listening.
