MUSIC / GUIDE

Explore turntablism events

Turntablism treats the decks as instruments through techniques such as scratching and beat manipulation. The transformation of sound can matter as much as the choice of record. Showcases, battles and conventional DJ-party sets offer different ways to experience the performers.

How to choose a session

  • Check whether the programme is a showcase, battle or DJ party.
  • Try performance recordings to hear the artists' scratching and beat-manipulation approaches.
