MUSIC / GUIDE
Trance sessions follow repeated rhythms, expanding melodies and layers of sound. Longer developments can give a set a distinct sense of lift. Melody-led selections and programmes focused on psychedelic textures are different experiences, so look for the more specific style.
Kaleidoscope Vol. 23 centers on the world-premiere screening of UBARTMAR’s “Soran Bushi” music video. Psychedelic trance and AI-generated festival imagery meet live acts, VJ work, and lounge DJs. It is a late-night Koenji journey through sound, oceanic imagery, space, and ritual.
mitología takes over FORESTLIMIT from midnight to morning with Darkpsy, Forest, and Psycore. Guest DJs ENOKI and PARPUNTE join Hënkį, P-xy, myu, Hikari, and VJ Drjuso. Food, plant goods, and tarot reading expand the experience beyond the dancefloor.
Phantom Night OPS RAVE celebrates its eighth anniversary at nagomix Shibuya, bringing otaku culture into contact with rave music. Its stated direction moves between 2000s nostalgia and contemporary club music, including trance, hard dance, and nerd-focused selections. It is an afternoon rave for shuffling, going hard, and connecting over favorite tracks.
Koenji Cave presents the seventh edition of its open-air rave, Cave of God Eye. Ticon, Yestermorrow of Iboga Records, and Animato headline the program. Set across May 15–16 at Ooba Camp Village, it frames a 24-hour psychedelic journey around progressive trance.
