MUSIC / GUIDE

Explore r&b events

R&B sessions explore vocal phrasing, harmony and the way a song sits over a beat. Selections can be relaxed or lead towards hip-hop and dance music. Familiar tracks, new releases and period-focused programmes each offer a different route into the music.

How to choose a session

  • Check the era and Japanese or international focus, then try a mix from the DJs.
  • Look for an R&B focus or a blend with hip-hop and soul in the event description.
