MUSIC / GUIDE

Explore funk events

Funk invites attention to bass and drum interplay, sharp horns and the spaces inside a groove. DJ selection can also reveal connections with soul, disco and hip-hop. The balance between songs and instrumental tracks helps distinguish one session from another.

How to choose a session

  • Check for a funk focus or a blend with soul, disco and breaks.
  • Look for record-based DJ sets and any band or live performances in the programme.
