MUSIC / GUIDE
Explore electro events
Electro programmes foreground machine-like rhythms, synthesiser phrases and bass movement. Beat placement and texture can suggest different ways of moving. The name is not interchangeable with electronic music in general or electro house, so listening to the performers is useful.
How to choose a session
- Use the DJs' mixes and accompanying styles to understand how the programme uses the electro label.
- Listen for broken rhythms or a blend with four-to-the-floor selections.
